and the writing keeps on going...
jing arrived on the 5am bus which got to iloilo around 7am. meeting up with the others later on. rexam was coming from bacolod so was gonna meet up with him at the courts with the others.
i had so much fun this weekend. a bit of edits in the plans but still worked out even better.
got to spend time with my grandmother and pam in molo, friday night. wanted to go out pa but with the rain and everything else i had to do the next day, i didn't want to kid myself. so was in bed my 9pm. not bad. good thing i was tired from all the travelling and going around doing errands that it wasn't hard for me to doze off.
woke up at 5am, trying not to wake pam up in the process. she was sleeping so peacefully i didn't want to wake her. she woke up anyways but was able to be persuaded to go back to sleep.
at around 6:30 i was checking in at west town since i know from experience we'll be stuck in the courts the whole day. good thing our room was available already so my bag was securely stored.
found myself in a jollibee in the mandaue building somewhere in jaro (i forget the street). i've never really been there before. just pass by on my way to iloilo. so there i was waiting for my 6 orders of pancake sandwiches, tocino meal, 3 pineapple juices, 2 iced teas and 1 hot choco. it was quite peaceful with just me and a korean girl eating her own tocino breakfast.

i haven't been playing that often lately so it was nice to see a lot of new faces. especially players from kalibo. i just enjoyed the fact that we were gonna go against more or less real class b players (except for 1 pair i will not mention nalang).
i guess it wasn't our time lang gid. didn't go through to the final round, despite what everyone thought because of the point system rule. we had a 3 way tie for the finals but the pointing rule didn't see us through. but it was okay because we beat the ones we needed to beat and was beaten by "friendly fire" naman so okay lang. as long as na pirdi ang dapat lang i-perdi. in the end, it is just a sport. we all love it, no question. but some people should learn to be good sports lang.
happy to see old friends again. reconnected with an old assumption classmate from way back and i'm glad to hear how her life has turned out. ann is now a mother of two and her husband seems to be a really nice guy.
syempre the usual people were there. happy man ako that dorlyn and mike dropped by to cheer (even for a few minutes). sportsville is way out there and it is hard to get there. so thank you guys for coming! dorn, gift mo next time nalang.
the whole thing ended pretty late. had dinner about 9pm na. by that time didn't have much of an appetite. jing wasn't feeling so good so it was basically me, mike and rexam for the rest of the night.
funny how i went to iloilo to get to see how my friends were doing and ended up bumping into the same people i see when i go out in roxas. i'm not complaining. its just a funny thought.
i'm just glad to be back home and care for my sore muscles. the price you have to pay for a job well done. i'm happy and proud even if we don't have a medal to show for. next time naman.
welcome home cuz!
larissa, mitch, eva, tita g and tito wern arrived last night. i'm so excited na! was buying stuff left and right at sm kagina. i don't care if they already bought the stuff they need, i'm buying more just in case. bought candies and other fun stuff for eva's party. stage mom gid ya! hehe
condolences pala to ana. she lost her beloved dog chloe last friday. i loved that rottweiler. had a lot of fond memories with chloe. gonna miss her. what can i say? we love our dogs.
unwritten by natasha beddingfield:
yes, this is the song to the pantene commercial. but heard it long before kris aquino was flipping her hair with it so she just kinda made the whole thing confusing. love the lyrics to this and this is sort of like the new rallying song for some of my friends and i.
makes you wanna ride a top down car and just sit on the back seat and go nuts. naks! how commercialish naman of me.
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Oh, oh, oh
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
Staring at the blank page before you
