i've come to the realization these past few years that acts such as these overshadows all forms of logic and conscience. its no longer a matter of asking why. they all have their reasons. its the how that stuns. how can people be okay with the thought of causing such tragedy on others they do not even know? how valuable is one life that another can put it into one's hand and decide it should end? how can hurting a small number of people be actually good for the majority?
Terrorism is the tactic of demanding the impossible, and demanding it at gunpoint." - CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS, "Terrorism: Notes Toward a Definition"
"Terrorism is carried out purposefully, in a cold-blooded, calculated fashion. The declared goals of the terrorist may change from place to place. He supposedly fights to remedy wrongs -- social, religious, national, racial. But for all these problems his only solution is the demolition of the whole structure of society. No partial solution, not even the total redressing of the grievance he complains of, will satisfy him -- until our social system is destroyed or delivered into his hands." - BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, International Terrorism
